The practice Of Impermanence
An itinerant blank room governed by the Law of Impermanence. Rong Place is an immersive participatory art project with the aim of educating for conscious consumption of contents: objects, people, concepts.
We apply the policy of “making space” to the sensory experience by designing practices at the crossroad between art, science and technology.
We let ourselves be inspired by the creative potential of emptiness, to fill human gaps and recompose fragmented identities. We rehearse the Everyday to highlight the sacredness to our own existence.
Art is not to be consumed, life is to be created. Starting from yourself.
To begin with zero.
RONG PLACE
RELATIONAL PAINTING
Lead and designed by Federica Buonsante
Type: Relational painting practice, later evolved into an integrated soundscape format
Time: December 2021, August 2022, January 2023
Location: Espaço Vagalume, Florianópolis, Brazil / Corato Open Space, Puglia, Italy / Alpadia Language School, Engelberg, Switzerland
Duration: 90 minutes
Immersed in a unique fusion of dialogue and creativity, participants sit in pairs and translate silent observation into visual composition. The practice opens with breathing and mutual-observation exercises — no words exchanged — before moving into shared painting, using an original technique. Over 90 minutes, an unspoken conversation gradually becomes a co-created artwork, at times accompanied by a sound journey — crystal bowls, chimes, gong, ocean drum — deepening the sensory and relational dimension of the experience.
