The practice Of Impermanence
An itinerant blank room governed by the Law of Impermanence. Rong Place is an immersive participatory art project with the aim of educating for conscious consumption of contents: objects, people, concepts.
We apply the policy of “making space” to the sensory experience by designing practices at the crossroad between art, science and technology.
We let ourselves be inspired by the creative potential of emptiness, to fill human gaps and recompose fragmented identities. We rehearse the Everyday to highlight the sacredness to our own existence.
Art is not to be consumed, life is to be created. Starting from yourself.
To begin with zero.

Forgotten Landscapes
PARTICIPATORY STORYTELLING THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF ACTIVE LISTENING Time: 01.2022
Duration: 3 hours
Location: Rong place, Corato, Italy
Kalpana, a Nepalese-British woman stages a page of her diary in the form of a sound narration. We invited locals to enter her room-space, listen to her storytelling and jot down pieces of her bio on the post-its installed on the wall. Kalpana's story told of the difficulties in identifying with the only two languages she speaks, since she left Nepal with her family when she was 7 and lived in the Uk ever since. The posts left by the guests were collected by Kalpana at the end of the performance.
