The practice Of Impermanence
An itinerant blank room governed by the Law of Impermanence. Rong Place is an immersive participatory art project with the aim of educating for conscious consumption of contents: objects, people, concepts.
We apply the policy of “making space” to the sensory experience by designing practices at the crossroad between art, science and technology.
We let ourselves be inspired by the creative potential of emptiness, to fill human gaps and recompose fragmented identities. We rehearse the Everyday to highlight the sacredness to our own existence.
Art is not to be consumed, life is to be created. Starting from yourself.
To begin with zero.

About
Rong Place, a practice lab founded by doc. Federica Buonsante in 2020, embodies an empirical endeavour that delves into the exploration of diverse cultures through contextual analysis. Its core objective is to engage in participatory processes that effectuate changes within these contexts, ultimately striving towards an aesthetic transformation of the everyday.

Central to the mission of "Rong Place" are inquiries that resonate deeply: How can one navigate a swiftly evolving society while preserving the sanctity of daily life, the immersive essence of existence within surroundings, and the contemplative freedom of discernment?

This initiative draws inspiration from Berleant's philosophy, which underscores the necessity of empirically unravelling distinct cultural behaviours in response to sensory encounters that transcend the artistic object itself. This pursuit aims to decode the intricate interplay between cultural sensibilities and the process of creative aggregation, thereby sculpting new frameworks that challenge confining cultural paradigms.

The overarching ambition of "Rong Place" is to foster connections across cultural, racial, and gender divides. This is achieved through a nomadic framework, where projects are aligned with eco-transfeminist principles and driven by an ethos of continuous learning.

The crux of the project's investigation lies in comprehending the mechanisms and aftermath of aesthetic experiences. Its focus is directed towards assessing the underlying structures that bind communities. Through dedicated workshops, "Rong Place" endeavours to kindle fresh eco-sustainable imaginaries across various scales.

The research undertaken seeks to forge an experimental paradigm of nomadic aesthetic-educational initiatives. These initiatives encompass a spectrum of activities, ranging from organizing artistic residencies and conferences to curating performing and auditory arts critiques, along with workshops centred around magnifying individual identities through communal creative expressions.

"Rong Place" seamlessly integrates interdisciplinary and trans-cultural practices. In doing so, it presents itself as a potential model for reimagining the fractures inherent in neoliberal societies. These societies often propagate the notion of a global village, yet fail to acknowledge the richness borne from immersive encounters with distinct contexts.
In conclusion, "Rong Place" aspires to transcend boundaries and facilitate an enriched understanding of cultures through experiential engagement.
